WA Gymnastics Championship Success

After a six week delay due to the lockdown in April, the Go for 2&5 WA Gymnastics Championships was finally held in June.  The event was split over two weekends and three venues with sessions at the State Gymnastics Centre, Lords Recreation Centre and High Flyers Trampoline & Gymnastics Academy.  Despite the delay, the event was a huge success with huge amounts of spectators through the doors and athletes, coaches and judges grateful to be able to participate in the event after it was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

Livestreaming was added to the event for the first time in 2021 for the Premier session at the State Gymnastics Centre, featuring our top athletes in Men’s, Women’s, Rhythmic and Acrobatic Gymnastics. The livestreaming received a fantastic response, with many club members and supporters able to tune in from home to showcase our sport to the wider community. Over 1500 tuned in from the comfort of their living rooms to support the gymnastics community of WA. A huge thank you to Brightside Live for bringing the livestreaming to life.

Those that attended our event in person were treated not only to some fantastic performances over the two weekends, but also to engaging interviews, competitions and games. Thanks to our sponsors Healthway Go for 2&5, Brightside Live and GKD Gymnastics.  The event served as a perfect opportunity for the WA gymnastics community to celebrate the end of a successful competition season and Gymnastics WA would like to congratulate all athletes, coaches, judges, staff and volunteers for helping to make the event such a success
