High Flyers Trampoline and Gymnastics Academy seeking a Coach - Competitive & Recreational Tumbling

At High Flyers, we pride ourselves on being a professional and progressive club. Our philosophy is to provide a positive environment for learning and teaching gymnastics and trampolining, with an emphasis on fun and safety.

High Flyers is a family owned and orientated club run in Wangara, Western Australia. In March 2019, the club moved into a brand new, purpose-bnuilt premises spanning over 2000 sqm. The club is affiliated with Gymnastics Western Australia. 

We are looking for an Intermediate or above accredited coach for Tumbling (or MAG/WAG Coach with somersault module) to join our team and assist our Head of Department in both coaches and administrative duties in our Tumbling program.

- Must hold a current first aid certificate including CPR
- Valid Working With Children Check

It would be desirable to also hold a judging accreditation and to be working towards your Advanced or Advanced Silver coaching accreditation. 

Currently, we are offering 7 hours per week however this may increase. There is also the possibility of covering other programs. You will be paid under the Fitness Industry Award 2010.

WAPCYC are seeking coaches to fill two positions in Rockingham and Northam PCYC.

Who We Are

Established in 1941, WA PCYC has six metropolitan centres and ten regional centres, all engaging and developing young people through a balance of intervention, diversion and recreational programs with our key partner, the WA Police Force, and other partners and non-government organisations. In addition, there are more than 20 PCYC Blue Light centres across the state. There are approximately 450,000 attendances recorded at PCYC and Blue Light activities and programs each year.

Position Description:

WA PCYC are currently looking for a fun and energetic Gymnastic coaches to work on a casual basis and

deliver high quality coaching in our Woman's and/or Men's Artistic Gymnastics program (MAG

and WAG) at a variety of skill levels. The successful applicants will be required to work Monday

through to Saturday.

We are currently looking for two positions to fill:

  • Head Gymnastics Coach, Rockingham PCYC
  • Gymnastics Coach, Northam PCYC

Duties will include :

·         Deliver lessons according to plans and programs.

·         Develop activity/training programs and associated documentation

·         Prepare assessment/evaluation criteria at an individual and program level

·         Liaise with the Head Coach to provide feedback and concerns

·         Ensure cleanliness of activity area and ensure equipment is maintained and used in a safe

·         manner.

·         Monitor delivery of program by assistant coaches

·         File Accident / Incident reports as needed

Selection Criteria

·         Experience in instructing/coaching activity classes.

·         Working with Children Check

·         Police Clearance

·         Excellent organisational and time management skills

·         Demonstrated ability to multi-task

·         Experience with Inclusion

The role of a Senior Coach requires the successful applicant to coach a competitive National level 6+ WAG Squad. Approx. hours 20+

Horizon Gymnastics Club seeking a Head Coach - Recreational Gymnastics

A position has become vacant for a suitably qualified gymnastics coach to lead and further strengthen our expanding recreational programs.

You will be responsible for the safe planning and delivery of daily recreational gymnastics sessions as per our existing programs which include, but are not limited to, KinderGym, General Gymnastics for all ages, Tumbling, Performance Gymnastics, FreeG and School Programs.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Currently hold an advanced accreditation or in the process of attaining
• Ability to take ownership of lesson planning and programming
• Ability to effectively mentor and enhance coaching skills for participants in our Junior Coaching program
• Creativity and individuality in programming and delivery
• A passion for and knowledge of the latest sports science techniques and recommendations for training children and adolescents
• Able to work effectively with children and adapt/modify programming to suit individual needs and abilities

The successful applicant will be rewarded with a competitive rate of pay to match their qualifications and will be considered a senior member of the Horizon Team. 20-25 hours per week are on offer with the opportunity to increase once established in the role.
