2020 Athlete Retirements

Gymnastics Australia would like to acknowledge the following gymnasts who have officially retired from Gymnastics in 2020. We thank them for their contribution to our sport and wish them all the very best as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Erin Modaro

New South Wales based Women’s Artistic Gymnast, Erin’s career highlight was competing at the 2018 Doha Artistic World Championships. Erin was an important member of both her state and national teams throughout her career.

Elena Chipizubov

A talented gymnast from New South Wales, Elena’s career high was finishing 4th on the Beam at the 2019 Melbourne World Cup.

Elizabeth Inaba-Hill

An integral member of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Senior National Squad, Elizabeth took out three consecutive All-Around titles at the Australian Championships between 2013 and 2015. She also represented Australia at the 2019 University Games.

Owen Gilbert

Trampoline gymnast, Owen’s career highlight saw him represent Australia on Double-Mini Trampoline at the Tokyo World Championships in 2019.

Amy Lewis

Talented Trampoline gymnast, Amy was a member of the Trampoline Gymnastics Senior National Squad, seeing her reach a career high at the 2017 Bulgaria Double-Mini Trampoline World Championships.

Andrew Nicoll

Selected to compete at the 2020 World Championships, which unfortunately did not go ahead due to COVID 19, Acrobatic gymnast, Andrew was a talented senior gymnast, and we congratulate him on a fantastic career.
