Inclusive Gymnastics

Gymnastics WA recognises the importance of making gymnastics more accessible to the diverse needs of our changing population. According to 2016 ABS Census data about Western Australia, 18% of people spoke a language other than English at home, 32.2% of people are born overseas, more than 362,700 Western Australians identify as having a disability and 3.1% of the population identify as having Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. Our communities are continually evolving and so too must our sport and the environments in which it operates.
Gymnastics WA aims to increase participation of Western Australia’s diverse population by implementing practical strategies to make environments fair, safe and inclusive for all.
